Fourth Batch of NAVARITIH : Certificate Course on Innovative Construction Technologies – Registration reg. 
 
As you are aware, the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs organized Construction Technology India 2019 Expo-cum-Conference under Global Housing Technology Challenge - India (GHTC-India) on 2nd March, 2019 at New Delhi which was inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister. One of the components of GHTC-India is to identify and mainstream proven global best construction systems for mass housing which are cost-effective, disaster resilient, sustainable ensuring faster delivery of quality and livable houses. Through the Challenge, 54 proven innovative and alternate construction technologies have been shortlisted and CPWD has also approved these 54 technologies for adoption in future projects irrespective of location and cost.
 
2.    In order to build capacities amongst building professionals about the new and emerging building materials and technologies for housing and building construction, the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs in collaboration with School of Planning & Architecture (SPA), New Delhi and BMTPC has started a Certificate Course on emerging housing technologies. The objectives of the Certificate Course are to (a) Familiarize the professionals with the latest materials and technologies being used worldwide for housing, (b) Provide an awareness of the state of art of materials and technologies in terms of properties, specifications, performance, design and construction methodologies so that professionals can successfully employ these in their day to day practice and (c) Provide exposure to executed projects where such materials and technologies have been implemented. The Course will be available for any person having B.E. / B.Tech (Civil) or B.Arch. (or equivalent) or Diploma in Civil with 5 years’ experience.
 
3.     The NAVARITIH: Certificate Course on Innovative Construction Technologies was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister on January 1, 2020 during the foundation stone laying ceremony of six Light House Projects through video conferencing. Subsequently, first batch of NAVARITIH was launched by Secretary (HUA) on 11.02.2021. The Course has received overwhelming response so far with 125 participants in the first batch conducted from February 12 to 18, 2021, 115 participants in the second batch conducted from March 19 to 26, 2021 and 145 participants in third batch conducted from April 30 to May 7, 2021. The registration for the fourth batch of the Course is now opened on ‘first come first serve’ basis for which the online classes are scheduled from June 4, 2021.
 
4.     In order to build capacities and orient the concerned stakeholders to learn and adapt these innovative construction technologies, you are requested to direct the concerned officials/ faculty, students of engineering, architecture and planning, research scholar and scientists to register for the Course and help nation to bring technology transition in the construction sector.
